The Ganithajalika Maths Club of Mar Osthatheos Training College organized a Pi Day Celebration in connection with National Mathematics Day and Pi Day on March 12, 2025. The event was led by the Mathematics students (Batch 2024–2026) under the guidance of Mrs. Remya M., Assistant Professor in Mathematics.The program commenced at 3:00 p.m. in MO Hall with a prayer by Preena,Krishnendu,Amrutha, and Sneha, followed by a welcome speech by Jiya.One of the highlights of the event was the launch of "Ganitadhwani"mathematics themed newspaper. It was officially released by Principal Varghese Sir and received by Club Coordinator Remya M., Club Secretary Munaver, and Editor Niranjana James.A series of cultural performances, including dance and mime acts related to mathematics, were presented, adding vibrancy to the celebration.A unique competition titled "Bracelet Making," based on the value of π,was conducted. Teams of two from each department participated. In this, Farzana and Sangeetha from Commerce option won first place. Maiva and Chithra from English option won second place.The winners were awarded prizes by Principal Varghese Sir.An engaging fancy dress event was organized where students portrayed famous mathematicians, including Sneha as Bhaskara I,Nahala as Sujata Ramdori,Amrutha as Raman Parimala,Neena as Shakuntala Devi,Niranjana as Emmy Noether and Linta as Neena Gupta.During the performance, a slide presentation showcasing images of these mathematicians, accompanied by voice clips narrating their contributions, was played, making it an enriching experience.A tableau presentation was exhibited by the Mathematics students, illustrating the application of mathematical concepts in real life. The well-organized still-image representation was an informative and creative segment of the event.The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Club Secretary Munaver. The entire program was anchored by Niranjana, Aswathy, and Munaver.The Pi Day celebration was a grand success, with enthusiastic participation from students and faculty. The audience thoroughly enjoyed the diverse range of activities, making it a memorable event for all.
